Beloved brothers and sisters in Messiah,
I am in prayer that Holy Spirit will help me to connect important Scriptural dots for you as we rapidly flow into end-times events. It is breathtaking once you see how vividly the prophecies of the Bible are even NOW coming into view! Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has announced “The Return,” a National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance, on Sept. 26, 2020, 40 days before the election and on the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower. Rabbi Cahn has a great gift and propensity for finding significant, historic dates that are being fulfilled through the ages up until now; but he admits that when he selected the date, even he did not know that September 26, 2020 will be the day known on the Hebrew Calendar as "Shabbat Shuva," or the Sabbath of RETURN! In the Hebrew tongue, the word teshuva is the word we translate as repent; however, the Hebraic understanding is richer and fuller! It means to turn one hundred eighty degrees from the direction in which you are going and go the other way. That WOULD be a RETURN! The message to America is clear. America MUST make this one hundred eighty degree turn from her rejection of Almighty God and Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah, and come back to the Truth of His Word and the worship of His Name. Not only unbelievers, not only the Socialist/Marxist Democratic Party, but even much of the modern Church must make this Return. The future of our nation hangs in the balance, my friends, and we all must be in prayer. I realized the lateness of the hour when I saw the treaty forged between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). I hope you will stick with me here while I try to unpack these events in the Middle East and show you in God's Word where we are and where we're headed. My spirit was intensely quickened when I saw that the little Arab nation of Bahrain is now joining in on the signing of that treaty with Israel and the UAE on September 15th. I truly believe that is just a beginning of the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38, which speaks of a time in which Israel lives in "peace and safety" with her neighbors. In the passages below, God Himself is speaking to "Gog," who is the evil, Satan-possessed Antichrist figure. 7 “‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land. 10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land. The "normalization" or peace agreements now being signed by Israel and some of her neighbors must surely be the beginning of the process that brings Israel to a place of peace and safety. Keep watching, because I believe several more of Israel's Arab neighbors will join in this process; and then, as we are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:3: "While people are saying 'peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape." In that time, Gog (Antichrist) will bring his troops from his coalition of nations and advance like a storm over Israel and over a number of other nations, most certainly those who had allied themselves with her. Ezekiel 38:14-16: 14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes. That is the thrilling news! Although Israel suffers much in that horrific battle, and many are killed or sent into captivity, it is the SOVEREIGN LORD who wins this battle and proves Himself holy, the God of all the earth! In verse 23 the LORD concludes, "And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I AM THE LORD." (Ezekiel 38:23). Certainly it is possible that these events could be a far way down the road, but isn't it thrilling to watch as nations begin to take their places in the prophetic events of Scripture right before our very eyes? I heard an evangelist on TV this past week exclaim, "Moses wishes he could be here on earth in this time; David would so love to be here for these days; Elijah wishes he could experience what we will experience!" At the moment, however, it feels fearful, dark and deeply concerning for our own nation. But take note of the TIME on GOD'S CALENDAR! Next weekend, September 17-18 will be Yom Teruah, the Day of Blowing Trumpets. This ushers in a ten-day period known as "The Days of Awe" or in Jewish understanding, the Ten Days of Repentance. These are the ten days prior to Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), September 27-28, the holiest day on God's Calendar, because it is the Day of Judgment. Can you feel in the Spirit what a powerful prophetic time it is in the heart of God? Yeshua, the Judge of all the Earth, is waiting for his Father's command to come for His Bride. His anticipation grows to a feverish pitch. The people of the earth still have some days before God pours out his judgments, but the time grows shorter and we who are God's people, should be carrying out the plans and purposes written by the prophet Daniel: "Those who impart wisdom will shine like the brightness of the heavens and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever." (Daniel 12:3). Impart wisdom. How do we do that? Press into God's Word, seek Him for instruction every day, and share the Word with others. Lead many to righteousness. How do we do that? I believe we do it by modeling it. Walk in God's ways before others. Love your enemies and bless those who persecute you. Overcome evil with good. When people ask you what it means that California is burning and Israel is in COVID lockdown you can honestly answer them from the passages in the Torah reading for today: "All the nations will ask, 'Why has the LORD done this to this land? Why this fierce, burning anger? And the answer will be: 'It is because this people abandoned the COVENANT OF THE LORD, THE GOD OF THEIR FATHERS. (Deut 24:29) "When you and your children RETURN TO THE LORD GOD and obey Him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, then the LORD your God will restore you and have compassion on you..." (Deut. 30:2-3) Pray, like never before, for America and for Israel to make that 180-degree turn!
