I am SO blessed by the many, many of you who wrote to request the little Seder service. Now it is giving me a sweet, joyful feeling that there will be a lot of us, shut in our own homes, reading these passages of Scripture and sharing in the lamb and the matzah all at the same time - just like the Israelites on that first Passover night! One thing message from this service really quickened in my spirit, so I wanted to share that with you before you sit down tomorrow evening to keep the Feast.
It says, "We eat matzah tonight to remind us of the fact that the Israelites did not have time to wait for yeast to rise because they had to be ready to move when God said. For us today, it reminds us to live lightly, always ready to go when the call comes, for in the twinkling of an eye, like a thief in the night, Yeshua is going to return and we will all go with Him. " Be ready to move when God says... Selah. Let that sink in for a moment. I wonder how many of us have come to the point where we are holding the things of this world so loosely that if the Lord spoke to us in the Spirit and said, "Come, follow me" or "It's time for you to move away from where you now live" or "I want you to sell your belongings in preparation for my instructions," we would immediately obey? I really have been taking this to heart. As I sit down on my comfy couch or play my wonderful electric piano or climb into my marvelous mattress, I ask myself, "Am I ready to leave these things? Or am I holding tightly to the comforts of this world?" The Israelites didn't even have time for the yeast to rise so they could bake their bread! They had to be ready to go, as soon as the last bite of lamb was consumed. So, it seems that for us, the important thing is for us to check our own hearts (that's the REAL search for the yeast in our houses) and see if we are truly holding our THINGS loosely, ready to relinquish them, eager to go and do whatever the LORD calls us to do. That's living lightly ! I pray for you a meaningful Passover, filled with His Presence. Perhaps you'll find one or two songs there that will bless your seven days of Unleavened Bread. https://www.doorkeeperministries.com/store/c8/MP3_Downloads.html
