In my time with the Lord this morning, I laid at His feet my feelings of alienation from my children. Their lives are so intensely busy and it's so hard to get any real quality time with any of them. I asked Him what I could do about this and wrote His reply in my journal. Then it occurred to me that it might be a word for MANY of us going through this same grieving process, so I am sharing His word below:
"IT'S NOT THE END OF THE STORY! Many things shall happen that change your relationships and draw your children back to Me. But not all relationships will be restored, daughter. That is why I've caused you to be in My Word that says, "Don't trust in your neighbor; Don't put confidence in a close friend; Shut the gates of your mouth even from your [spouse] laying there in your bed. For a son insults his father A daughter rises against her mother A daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; And a person's enemies are the members of his own household" Micah 7:5-6 Know that this is coming and that is why you are grieving the loss. Your heart and spirit are preparing for painful separations that must be made if you choose to walk the path I have called you to. Grieve now, daughter - but know that your mourning will turn to dancing as I establish My Kingdom upon the earth. Fix your eyes and your heart on Me. I AM coming soon and you cannot imagine the joy that is set before you as you now endure the cross of suffering and separation. And remember that I set the solitary in families - and your family in Messiah shall be great and wondrous, from all tribes and nations!" And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2) 9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robesand were holding palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9)
