We Should Be Singing Right Now!

In the year 2008 I remember reading an article wherein some of the world's most prominent geologists and scientists discussed a possible scenario if/when the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Canary Islands would erupt. They explained that if there was enough seismic activity and earthquakes, caused by the eruption, it would undoubtedly result in an unprecedented tsunami that could swiftly cross the Atlantic Ocean and wipe out the east coast of the United States. I just put that stratling information in the "KEEP WATCH" file in my brain. Now, this week, that volcano is violently erupting, spewing molten hot lava across the island and poisonous gasses into the ocean. I'm keeping watch!

In Dec. 11, 2020, I wrote in this blog, ​"I truly believe God is getting ready to shake everything that can be shaken." My belief is coming to pass at an alarming rate. I got up early this morning to study and learn where Planet Earth is shaking.  The result shows that IN THE PAST SEVEN DAYS there have been 144 earthquakes ABOVE magnitude 4.0.  Here are the nations that are shaking with those major level earthquakes: Dominican Republic, New Mexico, Sandwich Islands, Mexico, Indonesia, Russia, Futina, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Nicaragua, Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Krgyzstan, China, Alaska, New Zealand, Tonga, Japan, Bolivia, Guatemala, Fiji, India, Vauatu, Philippines, New Caledonia, Tajakistan, Turkey, Columbia, Tonga, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Taiwan, Iran, Greece, Peru, Greeland and Afghanistan. There is not a continent of the Earth that is NOT shaking in the last seven days, and probably the last seven months.  Knowing that numbers are important to our All-Wise, Omnipotent God , it occurs to me that the 144 earthquakes of the past seven days might possibly even symbolize all the tribes of the earth, even as the 144,000 encompass 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel (many of whom are now scattered throughout the whole earth). God is shaking the whole earth, but also the people, that they might awaken and return to Him!

And what about volcanoes worldwide? This morning the website Volcanoes Today reports the following current eruptions:  Volcanoes Today, 30 Sep 2021: Fuego volcano, Popocatépetl, Reventador, Kilauea, Nyiragongo, Sangay, La Palma, Nevados de Chillán
Without even discussing or considering the "shaking" in our political system or the loss of our freedoms and our jobs due to the horrible "vaxxine" mandates,  there is a reason we feel shaken. Our planet is being shaken by the Creator of the Universe! And He told us He would do this. Let's read Isaiah 24:16, 18-20:  "From the ends of the earth we hear singing: "Glory to the Righteous One! The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake. The earth is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is thoroughly shaken. The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind, so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion..."

What seems strange about this? The earth is thoroughly shaken and reeling like a drunkard, but from the ends of the earth we hear singing! We hear the voices of Believers in King Jesus singing, "Glory to the Righteous One!"  Amidst a wicked rebellion so strong that it splits the earth apart, the floodgates of the heavens are opened and our Deliverer comes!  WE SHOULD BE SINGING RIGHT NOW! We should be praising our Awesome God in the midst of the shaking because He is birthing His kingdom through these intense birth pains. The writer of Hebrews, in chapter 12, tells us, "...the words 'once more' indicate the removing of what can be shaken - that is, created things - so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe."  (Hebrews 12:27-29).

We should cry out like King David, "You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking. You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. But for those who fear You, You have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.  Save us and help us with your Right Hand, that those You love may be delivered." (Psalm 60:2-5) 

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN! Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge." (Psalm 62:5-6)
