Kenya
August,
2005 Mission to the Anglican Diocese of Kitale

Praise God
from whom all blessings flow!
Our
wonderful mission team included Rev. John Paul and Pam Wadlin of Ridgecrest,
California, Rev. Paul and Monica Hinson of Arkansas City, Kansas,
myself and
my beloved son-in-law, Troy Lynette, of Broomfield,
Colorado. We girls dressed in our finest African regalia!

What
a joy to teach and lead worship for pastors and their wives in Kitale,
Kenya! The people of Kenya are strong, enthusiastic,
Spirit-filled Bible-believers, who were hungry for the manna of the
Word, and worshiped with abandon. The photo below was taken in
an Anglican Church outside of Kitale where I preached with the help of
an interpreter.

Distributing dolls and toy
cars to the children of a nearby orphanage. Troy played
worship songs for them and I led them (or rather, they led me) in
singing praises to God! When we were leaving the orphanage
we noticed all the little girls swinging their hanky dolls in the
air and chanting something in Swahili. I asked the director,
"What are they saying?" She replied, "They
are saying 'I admire my child!'"

Visiting
the village of my sponsored child, Brenda. Brenda is the
one in blue with the balloons. It was her 10th birthday
the day I visited! |

With
Pastor Leah Macharia at Open Blessing Ministry in
Nairobi. Leah and I met in Jerusalem in 2004 and she
invited me to come to teach! |
